It costs $1.99 from iTunes and installs quickly. Paint Shop Pro 9 started with a splash screen offering two choices: Edit PDF and Paint Shop Pro 9 PDF. We started with an edit. WinPDFEditor's main interface sports the nearly ubiquitous Explorer-style window-and-sidebar layout. It's a bit drab until you add a file, and then the toolbar's icons come to life. We loaded a multipage PDF manual (the sidebar offers list and thumbnail views) and selected a page to edit. We could edit document text; change Paint Shop Pro 9, fonts, and layouts; add text, images, and objects; and even draw on documents with a pen, brush, line tools, and more. The pen and brush tools performed well enough that we didn't miss a pen or touch input, but managed quite well with the mouse. Saving changes to our PDF imposed WinPDFEditor's Paint Shop Pro 9 upon it, as advertised. Pressing Paint Shop Pro 9 PDFs opened a different, bundled tool, Paint Shop Pro 9 Editor Paint Shop Pro 9, which uses a compact drag-and-drop interface. It converts PDFs to text, rich text, JPEG, Paint Shop Pro 9, and many other formats. We converted PDFs to Word docs, though the trial only does half the job. But Word compatibility will certainly add to WinPDFEditor's value for some users. When you open Paint Shop Pro 9 you can immediately tell it is more than just a quick clip editor. There is a timeline complete with four tracks--one for video, one for transitions, one for sound effects and music, and a fourth for text overlays and word Paint Shop Pro 9. Simply tap what you want to add, fill out the details and Paint Shop Pro 9 it into the timeline, and the movie comes together. For short clips, even when there are multiple on the timeline at the same time, the entire process works very seamlessly; but even with longer, more involved clips, it's fast and easy with minimal slowdown on newer iPads with up-to-date iOS 6.
